01 / AI SYSTEMS / ARCHITECTURE OVERVIEW

Folio

Making long-form
research recoverable.

The problem

Long reports cannot rely on one uninterrupted generation. A failed section should not require regenerating every completed chapter.

The approach

Plan chapters, execute concurrently, persist checkpoints and retry failed sections. Each chapter becomes a smaller execution boundary that can be inspected and resumed.

WORKFLOW
INPUTUser request
ORCHESTRATEPlan and coordinate
CONTEXTRetrieve context
TOOLSExecute tools
QUALITYValidate and persist

Request → Plan → Context / Tools → Validate / Persist.

Boundary

Keep chapter work separate so failures can be isolated and completed sections retained.

Recovery

Retry failed sections rather than restarting the entire report. Resume from the last durable checkpoint.

State

Persist task progress and chapter outputs so recovery does not depend on a single process remaining alive.
